Site Civil Engineering Manager *PE*

A nationally recognized multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and design firm is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager to lead and expand its Northeast civil engineering operations. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial civil engineering leader who enjoys business development, client relationship management, team leadership, and overseeing diverse land development projects.

You'll play a key role in shaping the team's future, mentoring staff, expanding client relationships, and driving project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the growth, profitability, and strategic direction of the civil engineering team
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers, property owners, architects, and industry partners
- Prepare proposals, contracts, project budgets, and fee estimates
- Oversee project financial performance, forecasting, and revenue projections
- Manage land development and site civil engineering projects from planning through construction
- Represent clients at municipal hearings, planning board meetings, and regulatory agency meetings
- Drive business development efforts and identify new project opportunities
- Mentor, develop, and lead a growing team of engineers and project managers
- Support recruiting, hiring, and staff development initiatives
- Ensure high-quality project delivery while meeting financial and operational objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development projects
- Experience leading projects and managing client relationships
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring engineering staff
- Strong understanding of site development, permitting, zoning, grading, stormwater, and infrastructure design
- Proven ability to develop business, win work, and maintain long-term client relationships
- Excellent communication and leadership skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $130,000.00 - $200,000/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
