Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff.
- Establish client relations and be involved in business development, marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Cookstaff staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Work on diverse remedial engineering projects that with a wide range of contaminants (VOCs/SVOCs/metals/PCBs/NAPL) in all types of media (soil/groundwater/sediment/bedrock/abandoned mines, etc.) utilizing innovative remedial technologies (P&T/removal/containment/dredging/ISS/chemical oxidation/bioremediation/capping).
- Lead team of staff engineers in preparation of design deliverables including engineering design reports, construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates and construction schedules with support from HDR’s national practice leads.
- Participate in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to resolve technical issues and negotiate remedial actions.
- Serve as a consultant and supervisor of waste and remedial construction management projects as needed.
- Work independently on technical tasks involving data analysis, interpreting results, and preparing technical reports, plans and specifications.
- Delegate and supervise junior engineers on waste and remediation design components and staff of professionals and technicians on remedial investigations.
- Train and mentor personnel as established by strategic plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience required.
- MSW/CCR facility highly preferred.
- Proven leadership and Project Management skills required.
- Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management and evidence of experience interacting directly with clients higher preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- A minimum 7 years related experience
- A minimum 2 years project management experience
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
