Civil/Environmental Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff.
  • Establish client relations and be involved in business development, marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Cookstaff staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Work on diverse remedial engineering projects that with a wide range of contaminants (VOCs/SVOCs/metals/PCBs/NAPL) in all types of media (soil/groundwater/sediment/bedrock/abandoned mines, etc.) utilizing innovative remedial technologies (P&T/removal/containment/dredging/ISS/chemical oxidation/bioremediation/capping).
  • Lead team of staff engineers in preparation of design deliverables including engineering design reports, construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates and construction schedules with support from HDR’s national practice leads.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to resolve technical issues and negotiate remedial actions.
  • Serve as a consultant and supervisor of waste and remedial construction management projects as needed.
  • Work independently on technical tasks involving data analysis, interpreting results, and preparing technical reports, plans and specifications.
  • Delegate and supervise junior engineers on waste and remediation design components and staff of professionals and technicians on remedial investigations.
  • Train and mentor personnel as established by strategic plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience required.
  • MSW/CCR facility highly preferred.
  • Proven leadership and Project Management skills required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management and evidence of experience interacting directly with clients higher preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • A minimum 7 years related experience
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
