We are Scout & Co., a leading provider in land development. We are currently seeking a highly motivated College Civil Engineering Intern/Co-op to join our Raleigh, NC team. This position offers hands-on experience in land development design, planning, and permitting for Design/Build projects.

Necessary Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering degree program
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic

Day in the Life

• Attend meetings with Design/Build professionals to understand project requirements
• Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process
• Assist in the Design and drafting of land development concept plans for various industries
• Review project design drawings to support the Project Management team
• Perform site investigative due diligence and collaborate with the contracting team to value engineer sites
• Prepare colored renderings of land plans
• Create schematic site plans, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability
• Conduct preliminary storm water detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to inform site planning efforts
