Intern/Co-op - Site/Civil Engineering (Fall 2026)

Job Summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering to join its collaborative team in Doylestown, PA. This individual will support site feasibility studies involving field work, technical report preparation, and calculations, as well as assist with design plans and specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Aid in the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify various engineering documents such as reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data to support project planning and design.
• Conduct zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments, estimate sidewalks, and determine project feasibility based on collected data.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred;
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite applications;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
• Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
