Who are we?

We are Scout & Co., guiding the path forward in land development. We are seeking a highly motivated College Civil Engineering Intern/Co-op to join our Charlotte, NC team. The anticipated start date is Summer 2027.

Necessary Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering degree program
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 is preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic

Day in the Life

• Attend meetings with Design/Build professionals to understand project requirements
• Research and collect site specific information to initiate the land development process
• Aid in the Design and drafting of land development concept plans
• Assist in the review of project design drawings
• Perform site investigative due diligence and work with contracting team to value engineer sites
• Prepare colored renderings of land plans
• Develop schematic site plan, grading & utility plans
• Conduct preliminary storm water detention analysis, site utility design, and earth work analysis
