Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and review of designs, plans, specifications, permitting, and final construction documents.
- Identify and address potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies independently.
- Stay updated on industry design trends, technological advancements, professional organizations, and new certifications.
- Assist with performing and coordinating thorough inspections and assessments, emphasizing safety and timeliness.
- Follow Klingner standards and quality control procedures to ensure project safety, reliability, and longevity.
- Work independently and under guidance to complete projects, including organizing, prioritizing, and performing work assignments.
- Document all project phases and client communications clearly.
- Assist with construction oversight and administration, as needed.
- Occasionally travel to support project-related inspections, meetings, etc.
Qualifications
- At least 4+ years of demonstrated experience in municipal or site development engineering.
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely-related engineering field from an accredited university, with a Master of Science degree preferred.
- A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license and eligibility to obtain one.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Experience with WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, and Revit is advantageous.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of and experience in applying regulatory agency laws, ordinances, and regulations for various levels of permitting.
- Experience in writing or assisting in preparing reports, scopes of work, and proposals, and familiarity with water/wastewater system funding agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong business relationships with clients, and a strong focus on accuracy and quality in work.
- A drive to create high-quality designs, a strong sense of commitment, willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a team environment.
Pay
Salary Range: $29-$39 per hour. Salaries may vary based on experience and qualifications.
