About the Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of public infrastructure projects serving municipal, county, state, and federal clients. You'll collaborate with a talented multidisciplinary team while providing technical expertise in civil engineering, hydrology, stormwater management, and infrastructure design. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
  • Develop engineering solutions for:
    • Stormwater management systems
    • Pond design
    • Drainage infrastructure
    • Collection and conveyance systems
    • Hydrology and hydraulic analyses
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate permitting efforts with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare engineering reports, studies, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and support staff to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with public-sector clients and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the engineering team.
  • Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for future work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain Florida licensure through reciprocity.
  • 10–15 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with municipal, transportation, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing engineering projects, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Microsoft 365
  • ICPR or other state-approved hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
  • Florida permitting processes and agency coordination
