Responsibilities
- On-site inspections and investigations including surveying and documenting observations, photography, and sketching.
- Aid in preparing field notes.
- Aid the engineering team in preparing technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings and prepare materials related to presentations.
- Aid the engineering team in analysis and repair/rehabilitation design.
- Research the historic background of diverse structures, technical issues, and applicable code requirements.
- Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem-solving.
- Aid the engineering team in the preparation of drawings and specifications related to structural repair, remediation efforts, and geotechnical analysis.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in civil engineering.
- Excellent academic record.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD programs (i.e. AutoCAD).
- Ability and willingness to travel locally for field investigations.
- Familiarity with any of the following programs is a plus, but is not required: Revit, Bluebeam, and gINT.
