Civil Engineer, Intermediate

Position Summary

As a Civil Engineer you will be responsible for working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary design team to produce civil engineering designs on a variety of projects for mixed-use, commercial, educational, sports, hospitality and municipal buildings of all sizes and complexities, along with other site development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE)
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience, focused on site development related to buildings
• Previous experience working in an A/E and/or Civil Engineering design firm
• An appreciation and understanding of the integrated design process and a desire to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D
• Working knowledge of additional current civil engineering related software (Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, InfraWorks)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving creativity and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong understanding of storm water management requirements and hydrologic design
• Experience working on multiple projects at a time, and ability to set priorities to meet all project goals and schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and interest in sustainable site design and low-impact strategies
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Software
• Knowledge of SketchUp or other rendering software for site plan presentations
