About the role

Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join their Civil Engineering team in Lynchburg, VA. The ideal candidate will work on site design and stormwater management projects for Local, Federal, and State Government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare calculations, reports, and design drawings
  • Aid in site design and stormwater management
  • Conduct field investigations
  • Perform research related to project design
  • Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Collaborate with engineers and other design professionals across multiple disciplines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam by the start date
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients

Qualifications

  • Civil 3D experience preferred
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
