About the role

The firm is seeking a Design Professional - Civil to join their Public Infrastructure - Transportation group in the Omaha, NE office. The position is ideal for fresh graduates or early career professionals with up to three (3) years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Explore the intricacies of designing complex infrastructure
  • Engage in diverse projects in various sectors including industrial, healthcare, k-12, commercial, and government
  • Prepare CAD drawings, reports, construction cost opinions, and technical specifications
  • Design roadway, trail, parking lot, site grading, and storm water management
  • Assist in onsite construction administration and observation

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Experience: Recent graduate or early career Engineer Intern with 0 to 3 years
  • Licenses/Certifications: Successful completion of the Fundamentals Of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer Intern (EI)
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines, work occasional overtime hours, and climb ladders and work on elevated platforms and open grating

Qualifications

  • Pass drug and background screenings required for work at most client sites
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Practical, hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer software. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are paramount, along with a demonstrated commitment to client service. Previous internships or summer experiences in general civil engineering or construction would be advantageous.
