Civil Engineer, Dam Safety
About the role
Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineer, Dam Safety to work on multi-disciplined dam projects within our Great Lakes Region.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal staff, clients, and regulatory agencies as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Develop project scope of work documents and project plans that include an analysis of benefit, cost, work schedule, and any related risks.
- Aid design team in developing project drawings, technical specifications, schedule, and bid tabs.
- Maintain and communicate project related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during the design or construction of projects.
- Aid in marketing for the surface water discipline, the office, and Michael Baker as a whole.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Licensed P.E.
- 4+ years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of permit application development and coordination for federal, state, and local agencies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience working on projects around planning & feasibility, assessments, design, grading, and detailing of dam and surface water facilities is a plus.
- Will consider candidates with a background in hydrology and hydraulic design and analyses; structural evaluations and design; and/or geotechnical investigations and evaluations.

Pay
The approximate compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
