Civil EIT / Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Civil EIT/Engineer to join our team at HDR. You will assist the Senior Engineer with various tasks including site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentations. You will also perform routine engineering assignments, complete projects with clear objectives, and handle administrative duties related to project management.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Senior Engineer with site studies and designs
• Prepare contract documentation and graphic presentations
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage
• Handle routine engineering assignments requiring standard techniques and procedures
• Contribute to the completion of projects with clear objectives and limited variables
• Assist with project management for civil/site projects
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D
• Specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required
• PE license preferred

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles may be eligible for limited benefits.)
