Summary
Mortenson is seeking a Truck Operator responsible for operating various trucks as directed while adhering to safety regulations.Responsibilities
- Operate Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, and Tractor Trailer/Lowboy
- Follow prescribed safety regulations
- Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas
- Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, fueling, and cleaning
- Observe equipment operation for malfunctions
- Follow work plans and pre-task cards
- Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Related construction experience preferred
- Current driver’s license with necessary endorsements
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
- Detail orientation
- Ability to operate equipment using levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and steer
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
- Independent work ability
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
