Summary
Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to assist with material handling, assembly, dismantling, and maintenance tasks.Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment
- Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools
- Clean work area, machines, and equipment
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
- Level ground for scaffolding
- Tend motor and grout: lift, unload, move, set, and shovel between wheelbarrows and buckets
- General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning of debris
- Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
- Vibrate concrete
- Work effectively with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Willingness to travel per project needs and requirements
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in construction preferred
- Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
- Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
