City Manager

About the role
The next City Manager will join Medford at an important time. This role offers the opportunity to build on organizational strengths, support City Council priorities, foster trusted relationships, and guide the community’s continued progress. The City is seeking a strategic, steady, and collaborative leader who values transparency, partnership, and high-quality public service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the City’s operations and ensure efficient service delivery
- Support City Council priorities and implement strategic initiatives
- Foster relationships with community stakeholders and partners
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
- Manage the City’s budget and financial resources
- Oversee the City’s human resources and personnel processes
- Represent the City in external forums and partnerships
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible management experience in local government or a related field
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience managing complex projects and budgets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of local government operations and relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field
- Experience in a senior-level management position
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation
- Experience in community engagement and outreach
- Experience in budgeting and financial management

Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
