CITY LIFE COORDINATOR

About the role

This position exists to reach 11‑19 year olds with the Gospel through authentic Christ‑sharing relationships by leading Youth for Christ Ministry in the local Spokane communities. It aims to aid ministry leaders in the holistic development of young indigenous leaders from within their ministry site who are becoming mature followers of Christ and give back to their community. The role focuses on contact work, creating and executing programs/events, and supporting community collaboration by implementing the direct ministry strategy, establishing fruitful and sustainable ministry while maintaining YFC USA’s compliance policies.

Responsibilities

• City Life Programming (80%):
  • Develop programs in collaboration with City Life Directors and the Director of Ministry Operations.
  • Meet with kids through YFC Spokane outreach events and programs.
  • The City Life Director serves as the primary steward for holistic ministry programs and goals at Hillyard, under the supervision of the Director of Ministry Operations.
  • Holistic Ministry programs at Hillyard align with City Life Relational Ministry Activities and are open to all kids of Spokane YFC.
• Partner Development and Fundraising (20%):
  • Manage, facilitate, and serve in Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs).
  • Direct the 3 Story Team at their site to accomplish the standards outlined in the RMAs found in the Knowledge Base.
  • Establish and develop programming materials.
  • Train and evaluate ministry site leaders in the implementation of curriculum materials.
• Spiritual Responsibilities:
  • Seek God’s guidance and wisdom through prayer and meditation for the organization and specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion, and worship as a regular aspect of the role.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps, and events.
  • Model empathy, humility, and care for all people, promoting equity and inclusion in word and practice of faith expression.
• Fundraising Responsibilities:
  • Extend invitations to fundraising events.
  • Recruit personal circle of influence and YFC donor contacts.
  • Send letters, handwritten notes, and make personal calls to donor contacts.
  • Personally minister to donor contacts.
  • Maintain a minimum fundraising responsibility of $250 per month within the first six months.
