City Driver → Driver

Position Overview: This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales, and ensuring efficient transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks.Perform daily safety inspections and trailer hookups.Handle freight using motorized/manual equipment, securing cargo appropriately.Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and manage freight charges.Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries, pickups, and additional business opportunities.May perform tire chaining, and substitute as a road driver or dock employee if needed.Adhere to all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with endorsements for doubles/triples, hazardous materials, and tanks.At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and DOT compliance.Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in teams.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Working Conditions: Driving in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials, with varying hours based on operational needs.
