City Driver → Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks.Perform daily safety inspections and trailer hookups.Handle freight using motorized/manual equipment, secure cargo, and repair damaged freight.Complete documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and manage freight charges.Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues, and engage with customers for pick-up/delivery needs.Provide excellent customer service, solicit additional business, and potentially perform tire chaining or other operational duties.Adhere to all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, performing additional duties as necessary. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in teams.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Working Conditions: Drive across various roads and weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and potential hazardous materials, with hours varying based on operational needs.
