Citrix Engineer / Onsite in Boca Raton, FL

About the role

This role focuses on designing, engineering, and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD/DaaS) across a complex hybrid infrastructure that includes on-premises data centers, colocation environments, and public cloud—specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Work heavily with VMware, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and Google Compute Engine (GCE) to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable virtual desktop solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, networking, and security teams while acting as a technical escalation point and mentor.
• Design and support hybrid cloud infrastructure (on-prem + public cloud).
• Experience with migration projects (moving from legacy environments to modern/cloud-based solutions).
• Support high-availability production environments with on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Advanced hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD / DaaS) in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise with NetScaler / Citrix ADC including gateway configuration and secure access.
• Extensive VMware (vCenter / ESXi) administration and engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly GCE, IAM, networking, monitoring, and logging.
• Proven experience with migration projects (moving from legacy environments to modern/cloud-based solutions).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, networking, and identity layers.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Citrix certifications (CCP, CCE-V, NetScaler)
• Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Network Engineer)
• VMware certifications (VCP-DCV or equivalent)
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Terraform)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevOps practices
• Exposure to enterprise monitoring and observability tools
• Prior experience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments
