About the role
The Department of Cinema and Television Arts (CTVA) at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) invites applications for a part-time lecturer pool. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Educate students in cinema, television, and new media within specified subject areas.
- Work effectively with a diverse student body, including first-generation college students.
- Engage in professional writing and maintain currency in the field.
Requirements
- A PhD or MFA degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Record of professional writing and currency.
Skills
- Effective communication and teaching abilities.
- Ability to adapt to short notice appointments.
Benefits
- Regular performance evaluations based on the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070.
- Syllabi, assignments, and reading material may be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
Pay
- Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month.
- Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month.
Schedule
- Appointments are for one semester only.
- Initial appointments are made as Lecturers under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association.
