Cinema and Television Arts (CTVA) - Part-Time Lecturer Pool

About the role

The Department of Cinema and Television Arts (CTVA) at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) invites applications for a part-time lecturer pool. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Educate students in cinema, television, and new media within specified subject areas.
• Work effectively with a diverse student body, including first-generation college students.
• Engage in professional writing and maintain currency in the field.

Requirements

• A PhD or MFA degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Prior teaching experience at the university level.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students.
• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
• Record of professional writing and currency.

Skills

• Effective communication and teaching abilities.
• Ability to adapt to short notice appointments.

Benefits

• Regular performance evaluations based on the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070.
• Syllabi, assignments, and reading material may be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.

Pay

• Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month.
• Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $6,221 per month.

Schedule

• Appointments are for one semester only.
• Initial appointments are made as Lecturers under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association.
