About the role

The CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest, single-day volunteer-led event in support of the breast-cancer cause. On October 4, 2026, the annual walk/run relies on dedicated volunteers to join the local planning committee. Help make a real difference for Canadians impacted by breast cancer.

Responsibilities

• Attend monthly committee meetings from May to July and biweekly meetings in August and September
• Complete weekly tasks averaging 2–5 hours per week, depending on role and time of year
• Take a leadership role at pre-Run events and opportunities
• Be available in person the week before and after the CIBC Run for the Cure (October 4, 2026)
• Support fundraising and community-outreach activities

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Exceptional communication skills
• Access to a computer with internet and willingness to use new software programs
• Passion for the breast-cancer cause
• Open to candidates aged 18+
• Daytime, evening, and weekend availability
