General Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary office administrator for the church.
- Maintain regular office hours during the church work week.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and general church correspondence.
- Welcome and assist church members, guests, and visitors as needed.
- Prepare and distribute church communications, bulletins, newsletters, calendars, and announcements.
- Maintain church records, membership information, and ministry databases.
- Cook up scheduling and use of church facilities and church calendar events.
- Aid pastors and ministry leaders with administrative support and ministry coordination.
- Order and maintain office supplies and administrative resources.
- Maintain organized office systems and filing procedures.
- Ensure confidential records and sensitive information are handled appropriately.
Financial Responsibilities
- Receive, record, and organize church financial documents and giving records.
- Prepare weekly deposit records and maintain contribution documentation.
- Process invoices, reimbursements, payroll information, and approved payments.
- Maintain organized financial files and records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting documentation for the Finance Committee.
- Cook up with the church treasurer, Finance Committee, outside accountant, payroll provider, and financial institutions as needed.
- Aid in preparing annual budget materials and year-end financial documentation.
- Ensure financial procedures are followed accurately and consistently.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all financial matters.
Qualifications
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
- Agreement with the church’s statement of faith and ministry philosophy.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
- Experience with office administration, bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial processing preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, church management software, and financial software.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

- Work cooperatively with pastors, staff, deacons, Finance Committee, and ministry leaders.
- Attend staff meetings, church conferences, and committee meetings as requested.
- Provide regular updates to pastoral leadership and the Finance Committee.
- Demonstrate reliability, stewardship, and a servant-hearted attitude in ministry.
Supervision
The Business Administrator will serve under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor and will work closely with the Finance Committee and church leadership.
