Chrysalis House Program Manager

About the role

The Center for Youth’s Chrysalis House Program Manager oversees a group-home providing transitional living services to pregnant/parenting homeless and runaway young moms ages 16 – 21. Staff engage youth from a strengths- and asset-based perspective, partnering to identify issues and needs, build parenting skills, and resolve the causes of homelessness so residents can secure stable housing. The role supervises program staff (Assistant Manager, Case Managers, Life Skills Specialists, and Relief Staff), supports their professional development in trauma-informed interventions, and participates in the On-Call RHY Supervisor rotation (one week every 6–7 weeks) to provide after-hours and weekend support across residential programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outreach, service delivery, utilization, and efficacy, including data collection, outcome measurement, record keeping, and report generation
• Recruit, screen, hire, orient, train, and support staff through supervision and professional development planning
• Monitor facility conditions and work with the Facilities Director to address maintenance issues
• Network and partner with other youth-serving agencies to coordinate resource use
• Maintain appropriate therapeutic relationships and comply with agency and professional codes of conduct
• Provide crisis response and intervention
• Conduct client screening, intake, and assessment
• Oversee development, implementation, ongoing assessment, and coordination of client case management plans and services
• Advocate for clients as needed and appropriate
• Transport program participants consistent with agency policies
• Participate in the On-Call rotation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or a related field, or five years of qualifying experience
• At least one year of management/supervisory experience
• A Master’s degree is preferred

Mandatory pre-hire requirements

• A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
• Regular access to a motor vehicle and automobile insurance at the level of $300,000 per accident / $100,000 per person Bodily Injury and $50,000 Property Damage
• Proof of a satisfactory physical exam within the last 12 months including a PPD and annually thereafter
