Chin Falam Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a bilingual Chin Falam-English phone interpreter to work remotely from home. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to established protocols.
• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and enunciation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm during interpreting sessions.
• Adapt to any LLS technology enhancements to improve service delivery.
• Understand and follow protocol and terminology for various industries.
• Show commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Chin Falam and English with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive topics and remain neutral.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have access to a quiet space and a reliable internet connection.
• Must be able to operate a keyboard, mouse, and company-provided software.
