About the role
The Dairy Queen Treat Person assembles and presents completed treat orders, including stocking, cleaning, and maintaining all customer areas in a clean, safe, pleasant manner and to all restaurant safety and health code standards.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly, quickly, and politely with co-workers to ensure the correct order is served to customers.
- Prepare treat products following restaurant, health, and safety standards and procedures quickly and accurately.
- Be pleasant and alert to customer needs.
- Properly and safely operate and maintain restaurant equipment, including related chill equipment.
- Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set-up of the chill area.
- Control the food production process.
- Clean work area, organize, and stock needed items.
- Break down and clean the chill area thoroughly at the end of every day as assigned by a manager or shift leader.
- Wash counters, tables, trash receptacles; gather trash, sweep, mop, and perform other cleaning tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum age: 16 years.
Physical/Sensory Demands
Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to:
- Grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach.
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand, and foot coordination.
- Respond to various requests and commands, read order monitors, and communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Handle food, drinks, and treats constantly.
- Stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire workday.
- Move heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant, including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
