Children's Fitness Instructor

About the Role

The Children's Fitness Instructor at The Little Gym will teach classes and lead birthday parties based on our proven curriculum and teaching method. You’ll be part of a team that works primarily on weekends, coordinating all aspects of birthday parties to ensure families have a magical experience. This role involves providing outstanding customer service, fostering a welcoming environment for members, and making a positive impact on the growth and development of children in the community.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging classes and lead birthday parties using our established curriculum and methods.
• Coordinate all aspects of birthday parties hosted at our facility, ensuring a memorable experience for families.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a warm, family-like atmosphere for members.
• Lead dynamic, high-energy activities that contribute to the physical and emotional development of children.
• Collaborate with a team of instructors to deliver classes and events on weekends.

Requirements

• Background in child development, physical education, gymnastics, dance, or early childhood education (preferred but not required).
• Enthusiasm for working with children and the ability to connect with both kids and parents.
• Comfortable being energetic, playful, and occasionally "goofy" (e.g., giving air high-fives).
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for making others feel valued.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to balance fun with professionalism.

Pay

$21.30 - $24.00 per hour.

About the Company

The Little Gym is the world’s premier enrichment and physical development center for children ages 4 months through 12 years. Our programs use movement-based learning and imaginative play to help children build confidence and skills at every stage of childhood. With over 40 years of experience, our trained instructors lead parent/child classes, gymnastics, dance, sports prep, camps, Parents’ Survival Nights, and Awesome Birthday Bash parties.

This position is with Somersault Operating, a franchisee of The Little Gym, which operates 30 locations across 8 states (SC, NC, VA, TN, PA, NJ, WA, CA). Multiple new locations are scheduled to open in the coming years, offering growth opportunities for team members.
