Children's Cooking Instructor

Sticky Fingers Cooking® of Northern Colorado is seeking a part-time After School Children's Cooking Teacher to help cultivate culinary curiosity in kids.

About the role

Join a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time role where you'll teach kids about cooking, nutrition, and healthy eating habits. Classes are typically held on weekdays between 2-5 PM, making it a great fit for your schedule. We provide all the tools, training, and recipes you need to succeed in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking classes, teaching kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
• Spark creativity by introducing kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
• Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
• Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen, managing groups of 8-14 children.
• Arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time to set up.
• Commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.

Requirements

• Experience working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Available to teach 1-hour classes (on campus 90+ minutes) at least 2-3 days a week between 2-5 PM, Monday-Friday.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive to different school locations.

Benefits

• Competitive pay: $60 for a one-hour class plus food reimbursement.
• Ongoing support and all tools/equipment provided.
• Accrued Leave: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, earned at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, for health and safety purposes.
• Public Health Emergency (PHE) Leave: Up to 80 hours of PHE-related leave when a PHE is declared.
