About the role

Sticky Fingers Cooking® of Northern Colorado is hiring an After School Children’s Cooking Teacher to lead hands-on cooking classes for kids aged 3–18. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves cooking, enjoys working with children, and wants a flexible, meaningful position. Classes are held weekdays from 2–5 PM, and substitute availability is required Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, hands-on cooking classes that teach kids essential skills such as chopping, mixing, measuring, and food safety.
  • Introduce children to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures through interactive lessons.
  • Prepare for each class using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up safe, fun kitchen environments.
  • Manage groups of 8–14 kids, fostering confidence and creativity in the kitchen.
  • Arrive on campus 20–30 minutes prior to scheduled class time to prepare.

Requirements

  • Experience working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Availability to teach at least four 1-hour classes per week between 2–5 PM, Monday through Thursday.
  • Ability to commit to teaching sessions lasting 4–12 weeks.
  • Willingness to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs for transporting materials.
  • Reliable vehicle and driver’s license for traveling to different school locations.

Schedule
