About the role

SFC Colorado Springs LLC dba Sticky Fingers Cooking® of Colorado Springs is seeking part-time After School Children's Cooking Instructors to cultivate 'cool'inary curiosity in kids through engaging cooking classes.

Responsibilities

  • Teach hour-long healthy and engaging cooking enrichment classes for students aged 3-18
  • Create creative recipes and educate children about new ingredients and healthy foods from around the world
  • Lead hands-on learning experiences in a dynamic environment, teaching basic kitchen skills and the history, geography, and language behind each recipe
  • Work independently to shop for fresh ingredients and prepare weekly class curricula
  • Provide direction and encouragement to help children develop healthy food habits

Requirements

  • Availability at least 2 days a week (Monday - Friday, between 2-5 pm)
  • Commitment to teaching full sessions (ranging from 4-12 weeks)
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching)
  • Ability to manage and engage a group of 8-14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to communicate with the team in a timely manner
  • Punctual and reliable
  • No professional cooking experience required, but experience working with kids of varying ages is a plus

Qualifications

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required by districts and schools

Pay

$60 for a one-hour class + food reimbursement

Schedule

Available at least 2 days a week (Monday - Friday, between 2-5 pm)
