About the role
Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids®! Help us turn kids' food choices into something positive and nutritious.
Responsibilities
- Teach hour-long cooking classes for children aged 3-12
- Create and present creative recipes and healthy food lessons
- Engage and manage a group of 8-14 children
- Prepare for classes by reviewing curricula and shopping for ingredients
- Teach basic kitchen skills and the history, geography, and language behind recipes
- Lead dynamic hands-on learning environments
- Encourage healthy food habits for lifelong nourishment
Requirements
- Availability at least 2 days a week to teach (Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 4:30pm)
- Commitment to teaching weekly for full sessions (6-12 weeks)
- Experience working with groups of kids of varying ages
- Ability to manage and engage a diverse group of children
- Reliable transportation
- Timely communication with the team
- Punctuality and reliability
- No professional cooking experience required
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching)
Qualifications
- Pass a fingerprint background check upon hire
Skills
- Passionate about cooking and food education
- Ability to engage and manage a group of children
- Organizational skills for preparing and reviewing class curricula
- Basic kitchen skills and knowledge of food history, geography, and language

Schedule
