Supervision

Employees in this classification work under direct supervision of the Childcare Site Specialist.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead planned activities for groups of school-age children (art, games, science, cooking and more!)
• Work with a team to ensure all children are accounted for and safe at all times
• Communicate with co-workers, kids and families in a positive manner
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment

Typical Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
  • 6 units of Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Recreation, Psychology, Education, Kinesiology or related field
  • Six months experience in a licensed childcare facility or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Vaccinations:
  • Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice
  • Child Abuse Index check
  • Tuberculosis Clearance
  • Satisfactory Health Screening
• Other:
  • Copies of college transcripts
