About the role
Coordinate, organize, and monitor children's activities in the day-to-day operation of the before-and after-school programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide opportunities for academic enrichment and recreational activities for students.
- Develop and schedule daily activity choices for children and assign tasks to team members.
- Aid in training, evaluating, and supervising site team members.
- Cookordination staffing needs, including arranging substitute staff when required.
- Prepare, maintain, and ensure compliance with Department of Health Services documentation.
- Alert the director/supervisor to any problems or special information about a student.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress, issues, and outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected student and staff information, even after employment ends.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with district personnel.
- Participate in a minimum of 18 training hours per year (Early Childhood in-service).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 60 academic hours in child development or a related field.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Minimum 18 months of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
- Negative TB Test required upon hire.
