Childcare Site Director - Before & After School
Position Overview
The Site Director oversees the Before and After School Program at Mercer Elementary School in Harrodsburg, KY for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves leading engaging activities, creating a safe and fun environment, and managing the program according to state guidelines and host school policies.

Position Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum
- Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment
- Act as a positive role model for children
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
- Perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing (if applicable)
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent documentation from a recognized educational institution
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development, or other relevant fields with specific experience and training
- One year of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program, Head Start, or a licensed/certified childcare program (including certified home providers)
- Director’s Credential in Early Childhood Development, or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or high school diploma with three years of relevant experience
