The Site Director oversees the Before and After School Program at Mercer Elementary School in Harrodsburg, KY for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves leading engaging activities, creating a safe and fun environment, and managing the program according to state guidelines and host school policies.

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum
  • Create a safe, healthy, and fun environment
  • Act as a positive role model for children
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
  • Perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing (if applicable)

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development, or other relevant fields with specific experience
  • One year of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program, Head Start, or a licensed/certified childcare program (including certified home providers)
  • Director’s Credential in Early Childhood Development, or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
