About the role

We are hiring at our 2 Childcare Centers in Sarasota! Established in 1973, our centers aim to provide high-quality childcare accessible and affordable to employees and their children. We currently operate two licensed centers catering to children aged 6 weeks to 5th grade. Our staff focuses on fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging children's growth in various domains.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for children in assigned groups, focusing on individual needs within the developmental framework of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
• Aids in creating an environment conducive to a child's ongoing growth in these areas.
• Supports the development of confidence and well-being by offering opportunities for successful interactions with adults, peers, and their physical environment.
• Engages in activities designed to challenge the child within the context of their appropriate developmental level.

Requirements

• Infant Room Position: Requires infant experience and completion of DCF Introductory 40 clock-hour Child Care Training, including Part I and Part II courses, and 5 clock-hour Early Literacy and Language Development training, or within 90 days of hire or transfer. A current Level 2 AHCA background clearance is required.
• Childcare Assistant Teacher 1: Must have a current Level 2 AHCA background clearance.
• Childcare Assistant Teacher 2: Must have a current Level 2 AHCA background clearance.
• Childcare Teacher 1: Requires DCF Introductory 40 clock-hour Child Care Training, a National Early Childhood Certificate (NECC), Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), or Director Credentials with 5 years of experience working with young children, or enrollment in NECC/FCCPC with completion in 12 months and 5 years of experience. Must have 2 years of experience working with children in a classroom setting. A current Level 2 AHCA background clearance is required.
• Childcare Teacher 2: Requires an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Exceptional Student Education, or a 2-year degree with 6 college credit hours in Early Childhood/Child Growth and Development. A current Level 2 AHCA background clearance is required.

Pay

• Childcare Assistant Teacher 1: $17.35-23.60 hourly
• Childcare Assistant Teacher 2: $17.70-24.80 hourly
• Childcare Teacher 1: $18.00-26.05 hourly
• Childcare Teacher 2: $18.35-27.30 hourly
