Childcare Center Closer - Part Time

About the role

We're seeking a dependable and confident Childcare Center Closer to support our childcare program. The role is Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., focusing on guiding the center through a smooth, organized close each day.

Responsibilities

• Supports staff scheduling and daily operations
• Ensures compliance with Washington State ratio requirements
• Directs staff and ensures safe, efficient transitions as children depart
• Works independently while collaborating under the guidance of a part-time Director
• Takes initiative and leads a team
• Communicates professionally with both staff and families
• Maintains compliance, professionalism, and a positive team culture

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of Washington State licensing standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Confidence in managing end-of-day operations
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions
• Commitment to compliance, professionalism, and a positive team culture
• Meets all DCYF pre-service requirements
