Childcare Worker Part-Time

About the role

This is a part-time position implementing an aftercare classroom or assisting in other NCC classrooms as needed. The Childcare Worker ensures required ratios are maintained, fully implements health and safety practices mandated by the Louisiana Department of Education and Louisiana Health Department, and provides engaging, age-appropriate activities for children.

Responsibilities

• Relate sensitively to children and their families
• Work cooperatively with families and staff
• Perform daily physical tasks required for the care of infants, toddlers, and/or children, including lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 50 pounds
• Sit, stand, walk, or run as required
• Pass a criminal background record check from the state police prior to employment
• Maintain consistent and dependable daily attendance with minimal unplanned changes to work schedule

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year of childcare experience
