About the role
The Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services is seeking a dedicated Child Support Case Manager to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in enforcing child support programs according to IV-D regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conducting enforcement activity and investigations on cases
- Reviewing caseload and identifying cases needing action
- Contacting obligors regarding support obligations
- Communicating with case participants, the courts, employers, and other enforcement-related contacts
- Representing CSEA at routine court hearings and testifying at grand jury and criminal proceedings
- Auditing cases for court and testifying about agency's records
- Auditing financial documents, processing withholdings, conducting terminations, ensuring prompt and correct support payments
- Completing related summaries, reports, and documents
Requirements
- Any combination of training and work experience indicating possession of skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to perform this job
- Child support program experience, intergovernmental knowledge, and college coursework preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, and SharePoint)
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to respectfully respond to customer frustrations
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks/projects
- Adaptable and willing to work in a team environment

Qualifications

Salary Range: Pay Range 6
Schedule
Core Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00-5:30
