Child Nutrition Assistant - Part Time

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Possess or ability to obtain a Maricopa County Environmental Services Food Service Worker card within 30 days from hire
• Ability to perform vigorous physical work and to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to continuously stand and/or walk for shift
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, school staff and students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
• Be flexible

Duties and Responsibilities

• Excellent employee attendance is critical to perform the duties and responsibilities
• Prepare and serve food daily in the cafeteria, to include outside serving carts
• Operate various types of commercial kitchen equipment as needed
• Wash dishes, pots and pans, equipment, kitchen utensils, and work area cleanup
• Set-up and cleanup food serving lines, food bars, etc.
• Provide excellent customer service
• Conform to District, Food and Nutrition and Health Department policies

Additional Duties

• May transport food to another location and organize food distribution
• May assist in training employees
• Handle money for purchase of food and beverage service and operate a register or computerized point of sale, to include associated paperwork

• Cafeteria Manager
