About the Role

This full-time position involves providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic impressions, and medication management under the supervision of a collaborating physician. The role focuses on delivering psychiatric and limited medical care to children and adolescents aged 5 to 21 within the PCCF - Children's Program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and subsequent psychiatric assessments, including evaluation, diagnosis, prescription, and administration of medication under physician supervision.
• Educate clients and guardians on medication needs, dosage, administration, and potential adverse reactions.
• Provide training and consultation to program staff, including medical direction for case assessment, treatment plans, and service provision.
• Work effectively with a full spectrum of diagnostic disorders.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in psychotropic medication use, side effects, and indications for psychiatric intervention in children and adolescents.
• Initiate and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Conduct drug utilization evaluation and monitoring to inform the prescribing process.
• Review client medications for efficacy, potential side effects, contraindications, and identify alcohol and/or drug use as part of evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping of all medications prescribed and used by clients, including nonprescription and non-psychoactive medications.
• Include clients, parents, or guardians in medication-related decisions and ensure timely signing of medication consents.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing or a related mental health field.
• Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as either a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
• All required NJ licensures, CDS, and DEA certifications.
• Experience working with child and adolescent patient populations.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay

$164,800.00 per year.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Location: 1500 Route 88, Brick, New Jersey.
