JPS Health Network has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years, covering a population of 3.5+ million. As the county health network and a Level-1 Trauma Center, JPS is also an urban teaching hospital with a long history of training physicians and medical students. JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide telehealth services including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for children and adolescents.
  • Complete tele-psychiatric assessments for students referred through TCHATT partner schools.
  • Diagnose and manage pediatric psychiatric conditions including mood, anxiety, ADHD, and crisis-related concerns.
  • Provide brief treatment and medication management as clinically appropriate.
  • Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, and district staff to support referral pathways and student needs.
  • Provide consultation and training to school personnel on identifying mental health concerns.
  • Coordinate follow-up recommendations and assist with transitions to ongoing community care.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with P-MHNP certification OR Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Required Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an advanced practice provider. Preferred: One (1) year experience in a child and adolescent psychiatric setting.
  • Licenses/Certifications/Specialized Training: Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license with PMHNP certification.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with P-MHNP certification OR Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
