Chief Roadway Engineer

Purpose & Need Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) is seeking an experienced Chief Roadway Engineer. This position is available in our Orlando office. The ideal candidate will maintain quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards, mentor junior staff, and maintain alignment with client expectations. As a Chief Roadway Engineer you will provide technical oversight, and strategic direction in the planning, design, and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects. What You’ll Do Demonstrate complete mastery of roadway design conceptsContribute to marketing efforts and developing approaches to project pursuitLead quality control efforts within the roadway groupComplete tasks and projects within expectations of Project Manager, Supervisor or Task LeadRequires no technical supervisionAbility to direct and mentor younger staffMaintain responsible charge on projects and tasks as assigned What You’ll Need Registered Professional Engineer (PE)20 years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experienceBachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University. What You’ll Bring A technical expert in the professional fieldCapable of leading a group of technical employees with multiple assignmentsAbility to work with across other disciplines (roadway, structures and drainage, landscape, etc.) to identify and reduce design conflictsExceptional verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clientsExceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activitiesExceptional skill in working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office ProductsExceptional ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently and at the direction of PGA’s Leadership TeamA proven leader including mentoring other staff Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
