Chief Roadway Engineer

Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) is seeking an experienced Chief Roadway Engineer for our Orlando office. The ideal candidate will maintain quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards, mentor junior staff, and align with client expectations while providing technical oversight and strategic direction in the planning, design, and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

• Demonstrate complete mastery of roadway design concepts
• Contribute to marketing efforts and developing approaches to project pursuit
• Lead quality control efforts within the roadway group
• Complete tasks and projects within expectations of Project Manager, Supervisor, or Task Lead
• Operate with no technical supervision
• Direct and mentor junior staff
• Maintain responsible charge on projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• 20 years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University

• Technical expert in the professional field
• Capable of leading a group of technical employees with multiple assignments
• Ability to work across disciplines (roadway, structures, drainage, landscape, etc.) to identify and reduce design conflicts
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of clients
• Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activities
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner concurrently and at the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
• Proven leadership, including mentoring staff
