About The Role

Grüns is seeking a Chief Product Officer to lead the team responsible for bringing new products, flavors, and formulations to market. Reporting to the CEO, this role oversees the R&D, Science & Regulatory, and Product Development functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a best-in-class product team, ensuring each function delivers the highest-quality work and outcomes.
  • Set a clear vision for what great looks like and ensure the team works seamlessly together to deliver.
  • Drive innovation strategy through the right product innovation roadmap, identifying emerging categories, ingredients, and consumer opportunities.
  • Champion bold, evidence-backed innovation while building the right process to bring ideas to market efficiently through our in-house R&D capabilities.
  • Create industry-leading, science-backed formulations by ensuring everything we create is efficacious, compliant, and defensible.
  • Set the bar for how we use clinical evidence, ingredient science, and regulatory strategy as a competitive advantage.
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver winning go-to-market strategies that translate product innovation into business results.
  • Bring a commercial lens to every launch decision.
  • Build for quality and scale by ensuring that quality, consistency, supply chain resilience, and process efficiency are core to how we develop and launch products.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in product, with at least 5+ years leading a product or R&D organization in supplements, functional food, or adjacent CPG categories.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling successful consumer products from concept through commercialization.
  • Deep fluency in formulation science, ingredient sourcing, and regulatory affairs in the supplement or food space.
  • Experience building and leading cross-functional product teams across R&D, development, science, and quality.
  • Strong commercial instincts; knows how to connect product decisions to brand, growth, and margin outcomes.
