We build practical AI and custom software around how each business actually runs, and we put senior engineers on our clients' teams. We're building our founding team, and we're looking for a COO who makes a company run without heroics, and helps it grow. This is a full-time founding role, compensated with a co-founder's equity stake. You'll own a real share of what we build, and help run it. Based in Atlanta, GA. You'll live in the Atlanta area and work with the team in person at least three days a week. The jobYou'll make Sixth Wave run, and help it grow: projects that land at the agreed price, embedded engineers who are found, vetted, placed and reviewed every month, and the relationships, contracts and numbers that hold it all together. What you'll do• Run delivery, so every project lands on time and at the price we agreed.• Build the embedded teams business: sourcing, vetting, placement and monthly reviews.• Open doors: bring in the businesses you know, and turn first calls into clients.• Set up the operating basics: contracts, invoicing, metrics and the weekly rhythm.• Hire the people who make all of that work. What you'll bring• Consulting experience: you know what it takes to win a client's trust and deliver.• A network across many businesses, and the people who run them.• The entrepreneurial spirit: you've built something, or you're ready to.• Years running operations at a services, staffing or technology company.• Processes you built that people actually use, and a head for numbers.
