Position Summary
The Chief Operating Officer leads the revenue generation efforts for our KC Live! district.
Responsibilities
- Strategic planning
- Community and corporate partnerships
- Marketing
- Budget management
- Leveraging third party media relationships including print, radio, and television networks as needed.
- Tenant, media, and vendor relationships
- Lease management and third-party tenant relationships in retail, restaurant, and office space
- District marketing and PR, including budget planning and adherence
- Award-winning annual district budget planning and reporting process
- Leadership and oversight of assigned P&L District Team Members, including hiring, training and performance management
- Sponsorship fulfillment
- Parking garage operations
- Facilities management and vendor relations
- Security management and vendor relations
- Venue level marketing and promotions, including budget planning and adherence, in coordination with Live Hospitality Directors
- Venue level sponsorship fulfillment
- Planning, coordination, and execution of all district events, including concerts, festivals and special programs
- Venue level communication and direction, in coordination with Live Hospitality Directors
- Venue budget planning and adherence
- Venue level event planning and execution (e.g. Tinsel/Miracle/Happy Hour, etc), in coordination with Live Hospitality Directors
- Direct leadership and oversight of venue level leadership team members, including hiring, training and performance management
- Ongoing maintenance of tenant, media and vendor relationships
Requirements
- 10+ years of diversified business leadership roles, particularly in a retail, real estate, media or hospitality setting
- Proven track record of crafting and executing business strategies to grow revenue and improve profitability
