Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the CEO on high-impact strategic initiatives, translating vision into clear priorities, action plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional projects across GTM, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and other critical functions—creating alignment, maintaining momentum, and holding teams accountable to commitments.
- Serve as a connective tissue across the organization, surfacing key insights, risks, dependencies, and opportunities to keep the CEO informed and ahead of critical issues.
- Prepare the CEO for high-stakes meetings and decisions with relevant data, analysis, context, and clear recommendations.
- Evaluate business performance, product roadmaps, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify trends and inform strategic priorities.
- Take on ambiguous, high-priority problems and special projects where structure, judgment, and execution are needed.
- Help manage the CEO’s time and attention by prioritizing competing demands, anticipating needs, and ensuring time is focused on the company’s highest-impact priorities.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO, including communications with the Board, investors, customers, and employees.
- Partner with Finance, Product, GTM, and other teams to develop executive-level presentations, business reviews, and strategic materials.
- Ensure the CEO has the right information, context, and stakeholders at the right time to make effective decisions.
- Represent the CEO and the CEO’s priorities with sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s financial performance, including the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and relevant operating metrics.
- Analyze financial and business data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas requiring executive attention.
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to support forecasting, planning, investment decisions, and strategic analysis.
- Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insights for executive decision-making.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a high-growth startup, technology company, consulting, investment banking, or similarly demanding environment, with exposure to technical or cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting a C-level executive or operating in a Chief of Staff, Strategic Operations, Technical Program Management, Business Operations, or Special Projects capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from ambiguous problem statements through execution.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and business acumen, including the ability to work comfortably with financial and operational data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence and judgment to operate effectively in high-stakes settings.
- High degree of discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness, with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, SaaS, infrastructure, or other businesses combining physical and digital operations.
- Technical fluency and comfort partnering with Engineering, Product, Data, or other technical leaders.
- Experience working directly with a Board of Directors, investors, or executive leadership teams.
- Experience in a high-growth company navigating significant scale, transformation, M&A, fundraising, or other periods of rapid change.
- Experience building executive-level operating rhythms, business reviews, dashboards, or planning processes.
