Chief of Logistics, MD2 SZG.

Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Chief of Logistics to support MD2 SZG (NH-0346-04, GS 14/15 equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage/execute acquisition logistics responsibilities for assigned programs while guiding, advising, and mentoring a staff of program managers, engineers, and logistics managers, who are performing acquisition capability developing.
• Provide product support planning and consultation to the system delta.
• Meet with and collaborate with materiel leaders, contracting officers, financial managers, government support providers, and industry partners, as required to further product support.

Requirements

• Earned a technical, logistics or business Bachelor's Degree and preferably a related Master's Degree.
• Possess or be able to obtain and Advanced Certification Life Cycle Logistics and ideally have achieved Foundational Certification in one other functional area such as Program Management, Engineering, or Financial Management.
• A strong Space background is highly desirable.
• Deliver Materiel Capabilities to DoD Warfighters with ten+ years of experience.
• A prior military background in operations or maintenance is highly desirable.
• Be a DoD and USAF/USSF Policy Expert, skilled technical and managerial analyst, innovative action officer, and a strong leader.
• Exhibit sound day-to-day oversight and management of assigned programs and management of logistics initiatives throughout the System Delta.
• Be a self-starter, have strong collaboration skills, be highly motivated, resilient, and an expert problem solver.
